Dear Bilbo and Frodo Baggins,

Happy Birthday!

At least partially in your honour, today is declared Hobbit Day. Samwise Gamgee, Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrine Took are also honoured today, but it is not their birthday. They're just uber cool. (And in two cases, tall.)

I hope you're resting well in Valinor, those of you who're in Valinor. I hope you gave Olorin a hug and reminded him of firedragons. I hope you can hear the bells and cheering and general feasting in Minas Tirith. I hope you had birthday cake. Lots and lots and lots. With ice cream.
