Yes. It's out now. We're going to watch it next week. Suspect I might have to do this one round the wrong way.

I saw the movie when it came out, and it was excellent (Fernando Meirelles directing + a breathtaking Rachel Weisz, and everything else was just a bonus), and my dad has the novel... that would be the wrong way around as well, but I guess I could just re-watch the movie. :P

To be honest, having just read TTSS, I'm not really sure how they'd make it into a good movie... most of the real action happens in flashback, the main plotline is rather sedate to be honest.
