Personally, I felt 'A Feast for Crows' was a stronger book.

Feast at least had a coherent structure and was more condensed.
Honestly, read Dragons at your own pace. It's a decent book, and while I don't feel praise for this book is warranted, it isn't terrible either. There are interesting and atmospheric chapters which I enjoyed, and I like the prose.
But, eleven years is a long goddamned time to wait for books that are inferior to their predecessors. At this point, GRRM's success rate has gone from 3/3 to 3/5, with a disturbing downward trend developing. It is a frustrating thing to experience for people who have been devoted fans for 10+ years, and there's no way around that.
