I'm actually surprised to see a D&D novel reviewed on this site. But YAY for Erevis Cale! Bookwyrm Send a noteboard - 31/10/2011 08:31:38 AM
While I loathe the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, my love for some of its characters transcend that hate. ie Drizzt Do'Urden and his Companions of the Hall, Erevis Cale, and the Simbul. The former two thanks to the authors' dedicated writing and the latter just for her presence alone.

You should definitely move on to Kemp's "The Twilight War" trilogy. Much improved writing and filled with, imo, edge-of-your-seat action with a surprise/twist ending. Great stuff. I also recommend checking out his short story in the Realms of War anthology. I never could get enough of Erevis Cale.

I was so pissed when WOTC cut ties with Paul S. Kemp and his Godborn novel set adrift in Limbo. It was to be a sequel of The Twilight War. (creative differences)

BOHICA - Go ahead, ask me what it means.
