precisely because I was so familiar with it. In retrospect, I suppose Harry Potter would have been an easier thing to start with if it had properly taken off by then.
If I were to learn another language, I would probably do something similar. I am not good at learning languages abstractly. I need to experience the language. So this sounds very cool. The Japanese looks tempting.
