The Molinaro translation may be the only one. Tom Send a noteboard - 12/12/2011 05:21:45 PM
I know that my brother has some of the Hesse novels in English and they're all in the same format by the same publishing house, I believe with the same translator.

The image of the mother, the primeval mother (Urmutter) that Goldmund sees in his imagination, is a very conflicted one. It really reminds me of the Hindu Kali - it is at once loving and at the same time destructive.
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius

Ummaka qinnassa nīk!
