After I wrap up 2011 reading/reviewing loose ends later today, I do plan on working on writing these out until they are clearer to me. Then I'll worry about the grammar. Could easily take half a year before I'm reading anything of importance, just because of this damn alphabet.

It's a bit of a pain at first how letters can change depending on whether they're separate, initial, middle or end, but in the end it's an alphabet with not many more letters than ours, so it's not all *that* hard. As long as you stick to straightforward fonts, that is; calligraphy is a pain in the ass.


The poetry will be in nasta'liq, so I might as well learn it sooner rather than later. I'm thinking I might actually buy the Rosetta Stone software for Persian, just so I can speed things up a bit (usually I don't have the patience for such software).
