... you know? For the most part the day is a successful day for Shukhov, an almost "happy" one. (I'm not sure happy is quite the write word). He just lets the setting and the day's events speak for themselves without beating it dead. He turns it into everyday life.

I don't know exactly what I'm trying to say, something like that.
