I liked it, though it wasn't my favorite book ever or anything. I though it was scary and clever without beating you over the head with the themes or whatever.


It doesn't really beat you over the head with anything. It never asks you to judge Jack or to cheer for the other characters. It just places everyone in their situations and plays it out as faithfully and as scarily as it can.
