Was one of my favorite "scary 80's movies" when I was a kid. Took Trucks, which was what 15-20 pages, and turned it into a 2 hour movie that propelled Emilio Estevez into mediocrity.

I think the premise of the Boogeyman was that the monster's primary goal wasn't to kill the kids, it was to destroy the father and collect the horror/sorrow so he wanted to hear the story from the father's prospective. So nice.
