Do you read/enjoy mainstream, popular novels?

Yes, especially when on a vacation (to the beach and the like)

What authors do you think of when answering the above? I'm still not quite sure who qualifies, but I'm thinking of people like Cussler, Patterson, etc. Authors who seem to always have some best seller or another floating around.

I usually read some kind of baseball-related book around this time each year, and for different trips I tend to read light books like Grisham. I count Shaara in this category too.

Sitting on a beach, I don't like to have to think too much. There's always too many distractions anyway, with the kidlets.
