You read twenty pages of Eco, in Italian, per thirty minutes? Please tell me you're joking. Legolas Send a noteboard - 18/04/2012 09:39:26 PM
I'm reading about 20 pages of Il Nome Della Rosa in the half hour of reading time between 12:30 and 1:00 am, but that's about the only time I get for reading. My Italian has come along nicely and I'm working on yet another language for some new clients during free time during the workday, but the reading is glacial these days. There are so many things I want to read: Unterm Rad by Hesse, Der Weg Zurück by Remarque, La Chartreuse de Parme by Stendhal, and The Pickwick Papers by Dickens all come to mind without any effort whatsoever. I just don't have the time. I also have Storia d'Italia II: Italia dei Comuni half read in the non-fiction realm, and La Divina Commedia is a must for this year (when, I'm not sure - probably in the Fall). I am also laying the groundwork for reading the Iliad and Odyssey in Homeric Greek next year by improving my Homeric vocabulary. It seems like there are about 30 verbs for each of "to strike", "to pray", and "to push".

If not, impressive. What's the new language, if I may ask?
