It turns out that instead I've mostly been re-reading Stover's Caine books. Nate Send a noteboard - 18/04/2012 10:21:37 PM
I'm halfway through Blade of Tyshalle, working my way up to the new one that was just released, and I'm being constantly reminded why these are some of my favourite stories in the world. The combination of fantasy, science fiction, dystopia, soft philosphy, bone-crunching action, copious swearing, epic turns, and horrific plots leave me nothing but satisfied and entertained. Stover is easily one of my top five sff writers.

(If you were curious, the other four right now would be Gaiman, Sanderson, Rothfuss, and Lynch.)
