Last weekend I went to a reading and signing by Catherynne Valente and bought Palimpsest to get signed (and got both my Orphan's Tales books signed). That was the most interesting book I have gotten lately.
One of these days, I'm going to get around and ask her if she'd like to do an interview with me. I think it'd be interesting, since she certainly has an interesting LJ, to say the least
Other recent books bought/received:
Year's Best Fantasy 9 (short stories)
Jasmyn by Alex Bell
I haven't heard anything else about her except from Werthead. Perhaps you'll comment about this book later?
Diamond Star by Catherine Asaro (also signed - won it from an interview she did recently)
Night's Master by Tanith Lee
Good book.
Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs
Thinking about reading her series since the graphic novel prequel had a good storyline to it.
Hart's Hope by Orson Scott Card
Black Ships by Jo Graham
Very good book.
Alanya to Alanya by L. Timmel Duchamp
Need to read that sometime myself, I believe.
Doubleblind by Ann Aguirre
