It's true that pirating a book by a self published author feels a lot more like stealing, rather than the victimless crime most people see pirating as being. However, I don't see Goodkind's actions changing anything. People will still pirate his books, no matter what he does, unless he starts naming everyone from a list. In which case pirating will simply evolve and become more anonymous.
