Is it Byzantine, then? Larry Send a noteboard - 08/12/2012 12:39:02 AM
As for what I'm reading, just finished reading Tim Powers' new sequel to The Stress of Her Regard, Hide Me Among the Graves (liked it), and am alternating between the following short story collections:

Jeffrey Ford, Crackpot Palace (only 4 stories remain to be read; very good and up to his usual high standards)

Tim Pratt, Antiquities and Tangibles & Other Stories (about 50% through; this e-book anthology so far is only available to those who donated to his Kickstarter fund earlier this year; he's a fairly good short fiction writer whose previous two collections I liked a lot)

Nir Yaniv, The Love Machine & Other Contraptions (around 60% complete; self-translations of Israeli SF/F/in-between short fiction; liking it a lot so far)

Also am alternating between two e-book collections of Camões' poetry and Os Lusíadas. One of the best 16th century poets in both the sonnet and epic form, in my opinion. Reading these in Portuguese, of course.

Mark Jarman, Bone Fires. Almost done with this excellent poetry collection of recent and selected poems.

Bruno Schulz, The Street of Crocodiles and Other Stories. Will be writing two reviews, one for my blog and another possibly for Weird Fiction Review, if I can get it written this weekend.

After these are done, there'll be a few dozen more to read.
