I was just typing last names so it gave me Richard Adams (I couldn't have named the author of Watership Down in a million years without massive help - i.e., wikipedia) when I thought "Douglas Adams", and it gave me some lady named Susanna Clarke when I thought "Arthur C. Clarke".
Lots of second- and third-rate shit on that list, though. I can't believe they snubbed J.K. Rowling, and Lewis only appeared for that crappy series he wrote that wasn't Narnia, and Lloyd Alexander was missing.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

I've heard that Moorcock had a pretty unusual writing approach in the past.

Seems most of these Elric books don't go far beyond a hundred pages, so yeah... *NM*

Yeah. I don't really like fantasy but I know of the Elric series. It's well written, so they say. *NM*

I like the series, but I wouldn't use "well-written" to describe the 1960s-1970s books
