Huh. Those mountain ranges are quite different from how I seem to recall them. Legolas Send a noteboard - 25/05/2013 12:04:31 AM

I also don't think Riva was nearly as big on the maps in the books. What exactly is this map based on?

View original postAs neat as the map is, all I can think of while reading it is, "Maybe the good guys should have had some more babies?"

View original postLike, seriously. The Angaraks cover something like 75% OF THE WORLD. Yes, I know that a lot of the Eastern Continent are races that they conquered/assimilated, but still!

If there are six gods on the good side (seven, if you count UL), and only one on the evil one, it's probably only fair that he gets the most numerous followers.
View original postThe southern half of the Western Continent, Cthol Murgos? There is no reason why all that land was unoccupied. The western Angarak kingdoms didn't even appear until LONG after civilization had started.

In fairness, it's mostly desert. But agreed, one of the larger gaping holes in Eddings' world history (iirc anyway) is why, after the Breaking, the good guys left all that land literally entirely empty until the Murgos, Nadraks and Thulls came - and those last two don't have such horrid desert lands, either.

A high-def map of the Belgariad/Mallorean. You know, the good guys aren't too smart. - 24/05/2013 05:59:56 PM 1270 Views

Torak was the Child of Darkness. Power boost? Also, he was kind of like the Joker... - 27/05/2013 06:45:39 AM 691 Views
