Especially the way he implements it (beating his reader over the head repeatedly becasue he apparently thinks we are too stupid to see the obvious).

That and the poorly thought out plot with its glaring holes that you can drive a truck through. If you ever read any of his blog posts, he is actually proud of how loose his plots are and especially his magic "system" (using that term VERY loosely). He is a (mentally) lazy author.
