Some planned reads Larry Send a noteboard - 02/05/2014 02:51:50 AM

About to finish reading Danilo Kiš's Rani Jadi/Early Sorrows in both Serbian and English translation. Haunting, so far. Such a relatively underappreciated writer.

Also going to try finish reading (and then reviewing) Jeff VanderMeer's Authority this weekend, a few days before it is officially released in the US. Middle volume in his Southern Reach trilogy and perhaps his mostly consistently strong work.

Probably will also read/re-read some Spanish and French poetry this month as well, now that the cruelest month is over, etc.
