Macbeth is fantastic, as is King Lear. I don't think it's reasonable to expect that a man as prolific as Shakespeare would write nothing but quality; Romeo and Juliet is pretty much dreck, and I think Hamlet is a bit overdone in places.

Still, I would confidently put works like The Tempest and the aforementioned quality plays up against any English work penned and expect them to give a strong showing.
