So what is the general feeling about this here? Rereading the first one and about to start the second and man I had forgotten how good this was. The twists at the end were so well done, obvious when you know them but nearly impossible to forget when you don't. The battles are again described so well with such visual flair (as impossible as I know it would be I would really love to see a tv or movie version of some of them) and the magic hear fits so well into the magic in mistborn that even having only read those I can see the cosmere connections and had even begun to wonder about them before had confirmation of connection of all his works (I think asimov was the only other author who tried this..and his I think he connected only at the end not planning to from beginning). The code philosophy I think doesn't work as well as he acts like though he does have a character point out the wholes in it and the contradictions (if it is never good to sacrifice one to save ten thousand than several things the good characters do don't follow the code....) and he has several great "power fantasy moments" the light exploding from Mr. Bridgeman when the bond is forged being one of many.

He does an interesting worldbuilding job I think to with the women being the brain but still not really in command and the alethi culture developing realistically from a band of warriors who segregated themselves to learn battle so no one else had to.

Really I think can replace wheel of time....maybe we should turn the wheel of time board into a stormlight board? I expect some great theories could be made of who people are....Wit for example I expect is a character from other novels perhaps?
