I really like The Hobbit, but I think it's also the only one of Tolkien's books that I do like.


Well, I suppose the Hobbit is very different in tone than his other works. But I think the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit complement each other quite nicely.
Yeah, I'm not even really sure why, but I find the actual trilogy a bit boring. I reread it after the movies came out, and I really wanted to like it, but I didn't. C'est la vie.
