My cousin Kathryn, she is 15 and no one in the family is near her age, so she has me read her books so she has someone to talk to about them. She made me read Twilight, and the first two Vampire Diaries books. Twilight wasn't my favorite, and I only read the Vampire Diaries because she is my favorite cousin, but I was up front about the fact that I really didn't like it and only read it for her. She didn't mind that I didn't like it, she was just happy that she had someone to talk about it with. She even liked that I didn't like the one series, because then we were able to really discuss it.

But she is the only one I will do that for. I hate being told to read something, even though I love to read. It just takes me back to when I was in school.


Being forced to read Twilight etc sounds awful. It's really nice of you to read it for your cousin. I don't think I could do that. I'd rather have my eyeball removed with a spoon. You're a saint.
