It's the quality of his writing for me that it creates such a 'visual' experience.


I have the same feeling everytime I read Snow Crash. How much more visual can you get than a martial arts practicing, pizza delivery driver chasing through suburbia :P

Does Anathem have overt humor like Snow Crash, or is it more subtle?
