When/if you have children, what would you encourage them to read?

(There's one below for SF-F books.)


I only know about girls :confused:

So, on the basis that we are better anyway, I will be recommending Laura Ingalls Wilder, Lucy Maud Montgomery and similar, to be followed by Austen and Bronte. Then they can read whatever they like. Oooh, and Roald Dahl. And Philippa Pearce. OK, the list is very very long.
