You know, like in heroes, where they use claire's blood to resurrect people to the left and right, and suddenly it can't be used to resurrect nathan after his throat was cut?

But I do believe that in later years, the magic system has been taking priority over stories in many cases, and that is just horrible. I liked how magic was handled in Tolkien's books. A bit out there, of course, but keeping it a mystery added something to that story.
