My probables Tavi Send a noteboard - 06/11/2009 04:43:16 AM
I don't really plan what I'm going to read next. Usually, I'll just pick something off of the bookshelf, or scroll through my Kindle library for something that looks decent. I know that I'll probably skim through my favorite parts of The Name of the Wind so I have something to contribute to the discussion in a week and a half. My most likely purchases:

Stephen King ~ Under the Dome. I don't want to wait an extra month for the Kindle version of the book, and the hardcover is going for $9 (THANK YOU, WAL MART PRICE WAR) so I don't really care which version I have.

Dean Koontz ~ Breathless. This one, I'm hesitant about. I like Koontz's books a lot, but his last several have all hit a sour note with me. It seems more and more like he's writing on formula, so this may be a no go.

Jim Butcher ~ First Lord's Fury. Sixth and final book in the Codex Alera fantasy series. I'll be up the entire night reading this book.

Other than those, I'll probably read some Cory Doctorow (free on his website), some Jeffrey Carver (more freebies) and maybe that Karl Schroeder book I posted about a while back. On the thriller side, I'm thinking about buying Jack Kilborn's Afraid, as well as a book or two by Jason Pinter in his Henry Parker series. Eh. We'll see what happens.

If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them.
