I was thinking that you were thinking of one of the gunslingers, or maybe even Oy. Jake died in book six, didn't he? Oy made me sad. :(


Nope, Jake dies in Book 7 when he rescues King from Brian Smith's oncoming car. I actually thought his and Eddie's deaths worked fairly well.
