IMO - the best are those written Matthew Woodring Stover kcf Send a noteboard - 01/09/2009 08:03:23 PM
Stover has only done a few SW books, but they are simply the best and they challenge the notion that tie-in books can't be good. One is in the NJO series, so you won't want to read it unless you decide to take on the series. He's also done the novelization of the movie Revenge of the Sith, which is spoken of quite highly.

Shatterpoint is a stand-alone novel that sort of kicks of the Clone Wars series. I think it stands above all other SW novels as the best.

Stover has a new one that is stand-alone and supposed to be quite good, though I haven't read it yet - Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor.
