She must be alive. If she isn't, it's the most useless plotline ever to have been in a book. She has not resolved anything, has not had interesting developments (except maybe help Jaime change his perspective on his own live and those of others) and was just on a quest.
The only way this will make sense is that she survives and at least puts Cat on the trail of Sansa. THEN she may die. (Plotwise)
