I write a couple of sentences after I read each book to keep track of what I've read and characters involved. The synopses is more to jog my memory than anything else. I'm at 104 books so far this year and if someone asks, "Have you read 'x'?" then I like to look to see if I have or haven't. Reading one of these in an afternoon doesn't always leave much of an impact.

Just pick up one of Vicki Lewis Thompson's Nerd books (except Talk Nerdy To Me) and give it a try. The worst case scenario is that the people at the library look at you a little funny and you waste an afternoon reading something you didn't like.
