It's called The Infernal City by Greg Keyes and it is based on the Elder Scrolls series of games (i.e. Oblivion, Morrowind, Daggerfall, etc.). The game world is pretty well developed story wise and I always thought it would make a pretty good setting for a book. The book was pretty interesting and makes for a great read if you enjoyed the games, though I think it would also be fairly accessible for those who haven't played as well. The characters are all new (the story takes place about 40 years after the events in Oblivion) and there are a couple things that will catch the attention of those who have played the games immediately. On a random side note certain parts of the story made me think of a fantasy tinged Brave New World (I just read the Brave New World about a month ago, so it stuck out to me.) I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who might read it, but if you've read Brave New World you'll probably see the resemblance at times. I thought it was kind of funny (in a good/interesting way, not a haha way.)

Anyways, if you feel like it check it out. It is a little under 300 pages so its a quick read, but it is paced well and stayed interesting throughout without rushing the story. Infernal City is the first of two Elder Scrolls novels, and I'm assuming Greg Keyes is going to write the second one as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story is wrapped up, but unfortunately I have no idea when the next one is coming out. I think I'd give the book about a 7/10. It was fun because I'd played the games and enjoyed the lore, but if it wasn't for that certain aspects might seem a bit cliche or contrived (not terribly so as it was still enjoyable, but it was noticeable.)
