The noble who will do anything at all to advance himself and has himself deluded that it is for the benefit of his kingdom with a mixture of self survival thrown in.

Then I have the egomanical sorcerer who desires freedom from a geas, and seek revenge. He is not afraid to use his powers to have it, and is more then willing to make deals with higher powers.

Then I have the exiled god, who wants to destroy all others.

Just a taste of some of the main villains
