That was all interesting actually.. I honestly did not know that Omnius and Erasmus were created by Herbert Jr and Anderson. The interviews with them is something I never really read and to be honest it was more the world I was wanting to get back into.. For all that has been revealed in your blog (just means I now think about it more and try to spot the discrepincies) I still enjoyed the books though I was a little dissapointed with the way House Corrino just sort of puttered off.

Beyond that, I'll likely pick up the new one coming, as well as the rest of the legends books.

Yes the original Dune upto Chapterhouse were much better, as would be expected when compared to books based in the same universe but written by other authors. No matter how many extensive notes may be available it will never have the same tone but for me its not so much the language that draws me to a book, its the affect on my imagination.
