I'm not really sure which military SF series I enjoy more, Moon's or Weber's. Over all though, I really think they are pretty darned good, the both of them. I find it kinda odd that I love military SF as much as I do (liberal anti-war hippie that I try to be), but still good reading is good reading. I did have to think for a bit when I'd start one of the books, trying to seperate different characters and story lines in the two series (plus that Kris Longknife stuff) though. Yeah, confusion was a problem a couple of times, being stoned and reading three different series about a female Space Navy officer ya know.

I'm not sure if I liked the Gemmell book much or not. I might finish the series, but still undecided.

So what did you think of the Harrington series and Elizabeth Moon's books? Those have a special place in my heart. I am suprised at how well I remember those characters even after not having read the books for years. Both authors painted very memorable pictures for me.

Thanks for the reminder about the Troy series by Gemmel. I had forgotten that my husband had bought the final book.
