I enjoyed it a lot. If you are looking for a straight action book along the lines of a D@D novel then no I don't think it will be what you want but if you are looking for something that has decent characterization along with some good action than I expect you will like it.

It has some flaws, it isn't as good as say Asimov or Herbert but it is on the level of Magician I would say. Pick up the first one or get it from a library and see what you think. Let me know also I would love to have someone to discuss it with .
