Then you will like this. It isn't as good as wot or asoiaf in my opinon but it is close (I rate those above terry brooks but below things like prince of nothing). Never heard of wars of light and shadow who wrote that?
I like interesting stories. Some D&D stuff is ok. Some of it is memorable. However I like stuff along the lines of WoT, ASOIAF, Wars of Light and Shadow (Highly recomend it) etc.
