I used to be in love with her when I read it in the 9th grade. I loved how Pug was always fumbling around her, but in a more realistic way than Rand would be around Egwene.
Arutha was indeed monumental in this book. Well the whole Seige of Crydee gave the feeling of desperation by both sides.
But my fav is Tomas. Or Ashen Shugar really. I feel Feist succesfully explored the 'alienness' of the Valheru. In retrospect it reminds me of the slake-moths from Street Station, though not as weird.

I thought it was fairly realistic how Feist portrayed her as headstrong and somewhat thoughtless whilst young, but her character matured and became more sensible, which was nice.
Magician by Raymond E Feist: Book Club now open.
