Redeem Simmons for you from what? Jacob Send a noteboard - 03/02/2010 03:45:48 PM
From your experience reading Hyperion? Or, have you read and disliked other Simmons novels?

Personally, I absolutely love Hyperion. I find the second novel to be good, but of slightly less quality than the first. The framework for that novel was excellent, but I felt the novel dragged at times. Still, overall I give it a rather good rating.

My favorite Simmons novel is Ilium, then Hyperion, followed by The Terror. I'm of the opinion that Simmons doesn't finish as well as he starts.
