more suggestions. How old are your girls now?

I'm forgetting tons of great books, but here's what comes to mind:

When my kids were very young, they loved
Chicka, Chicka ABC's
Goodnight Moon
Brown Bear, Brown Bear
Anything by Dr. Seuss


As they got older, they loved
Magic Tree House

Older Elementary/early Middle School:
Anything by Margaret Peterson-Haddix
The Lightning Thief by Riordan
The Wimpy Kid books
