if you have somebody who might want to read them. I bought the whole series but now I wish I hadn't. I didn't like them that much, but every book left me just curious enough that I eventually bought the next one. Now I have all these huge books that take up space but I'm never going to read again. And they are a bit ragged so I doubt I can sell them to a used book store. (they took me so long to get through I carried them around a lot) So I say if you can get some use out of the books you spent money on...I'd let them read 'em and see how bad they are for themselves.

This is my take too. Plus my sister who didn't read them thinks the series is rather original for TV

The books do have a large following and are all bestsellers.
