It looks like domination, which is totally different. As in, that cat was trying to exert dominance in order to make the other get up. Kneading is not part of the sexual act, it's about comfort and then dominance, given the slight humping motion. Then he tries to carry the other cat away by scruffing it. So none of it seems strange to me, just sad.
