We don't have FPTP in Scottish elections really, we use a mix of proportional representation and single transferrable vote.
Labour got 40% of the vote in Scotland but 70% of the seats, the SNP had more of the popular vote then the Lib-Dems but 4 less seats. The tories kept their one seat after spending at least a million pounds on the single campaign.
It does make things interesting from the Scottish point of view, Scotland doesn't like Nick Clegg, their share of the vote went down, the SNP core vote held up, but everyone else voted Labour for fear of the Tories. So we may have a situation where the Tories/Libs are in some sort of agreement, but have next to no votes in Scotland. Salmond is already questioning if the Tories have a mandate in Scotland (which is sorta academic as they do.)
The one thing i totally underestimated was the fear of Scots for a Tory Government, i spent all night watching, every expert was wrong.
Hopefully this can cause some sort of electoral reform, but i can understand your anger, as it happens in Scotland a lot, so i'm glad other folk are actually feeling the pinch, we might now get something done about it, Well for UK elections our national and local elections don't use that system.

Lib Dems: Up 1% of the vote, down 10% of the seats.
