You did this via bootcamp, right? Did you try erasing the partition and starting again from scratch?

For me the process went pretty smoothly. Not sure what else to suggest without actually knowing more about your computer.

What version of OS X are you running?

Yeah I tried with bootcamp and started from scratch three times. Always the same :( I would assume it's the newest version of osx. I just bought my comp last month?
