I will not deny Gordon Browns political brilliance, nor his genius, and lets be in no doubt, compared to most MPs he is a genius. The problem has always been his arrogance and his unquenchable first for power...well that and his political ideology
.
And here we are, at the bitter end for this unelected individual, doing everything he can to screw everyone else, and claim power for labour. The second he knew a deal with the lib dems was done for, he pulled the trigger, rushing the conservatives in and throwing his final spanner in the works of his opponents, one that could come home to roost in 6-12months. A bitter individual. Gordon Brown, i spit on you.

I am no fan of Labour (all that can be said for them is that they have been better than the alternative), but I don't see why everyone hates Brown so much. He seems competent. And I think the reason why he is reluctant to give up power is because he sincerely believe that anyone else would fuck it up. And he is probably not far from the truth.
But why does leaving now make him a bitter bastard? What could have happened in 6-12 months? I am lost.

His sister didn't make it, though. At least there's only one Rees-Mogg in Westminster?

In a mild British way this is the most unexpected political alliance since the Nazi-Soviet Pact.
