Regardless, I'm not sure how reliably I can take a study whose validity depends on people being honest about lying. It's probably worse among both genders than this study indicates; it's not likely someone would say they lied when they didn't, but even in an anonymous survey I can see how people would be embarrassed to admit, even to themselves, how dishonest they typically are. Still an interesting informative find though; next time I'm over there I'll definitely be sure to carry travelers checks rather than cash around those shifty Britons. I've heard some of them have even been known to lift whole PEOPLE from as far away as Kiwi-land....
