Lots of writers write books that are first person but from the opposite gender. I would avoid things that are highly female in nature. Doing a first person from the point of view of woman giving birth may not be a good choice.

Either way have one or better yet more woman proof read it. Of course having someone proof read your work is never a bad choice.


or menstruation. that's probably a bad idea.
