But Vivaldi's 5th Sonata for Cello in e minor has a very haunting- wait, it's actually mournful- first movement. Also in the Bach Cello Suites the minor ones have some darker moments.
But there are different aspects to the Baroque era than the traditional, no crescendo only happy unless mourning the not happy aspects of religion, appearance.
Isn't Moonlight in c minor? or c# minor or something?
