They said that they will only waiver people who have employers insurance (this doesn't include anyone since no one can work over 25 hours in med. school), for people under 26 on a parent's employer plan, or those on a military plan.
They specifically mentioned they will not waive low-deductible, cheap plans like the one I am on. This just sounds ridiculous to me-- the school isn't my government, as long as I have health insurance they shouldn't be the ones to control what policy I have. There appears to be a big conflict of interest from my perspective.
